For the tenth consecutive year, Allshares has compiled the salaries and remuneration of CEOs and board members on the OMXS in connection to the release of About Pay. An initial analysis reveals that board fees among the largest listed companies have seen record-high increases.

Preliminary findings suggest a proposed average increase of 9.1% for Chairman and 8.4% for Board members. The median for the Chairman and Board members is SEK 2,200,000 and SEK 700,000 respectively.

"In this year's data, we see the highest increase in board fees for both chairman and board members since we began the measurements in 2007." Says Erika Andersson, Chief Business Officer at Allshares.

Data shows that remuneration for senior executives has increased on average by 21.1% more than board fees since 2007.

"Remuneration for board work has not had the same development as CEOs and senior executives, while the demands on the role have increased. For several years, we have been able to see that they have been held back," Erika Andersson continues
"Despite a strong development in board fees this year, they are still lagging behind. It would take around 10% increase per year over the next four years to close the gap to CEOs and senior executives. This also applies to international comparisons, where the largest Swedish listed companies continue to lag behind when it comes to board fees and shareholding."

The full About Pay report will be published in June 2025.
